What to pack

We recommend that you bring the following, for your comfort and enjoyment…

Camera (make sure your camera is fully charged or bring spare batteries) …and to prove you were there!

Binoculars, because the animals don’t always stand next to the vehicle

Cap / Hat. The African Sun is a force of Nature folks! Never underestimate it!

Comfortable shoes (High heels not recommended) Whether you’re on a game drive or a walking safari, a reliable pair of walking shoes or hiking boots will help you get the most out of your safari experience. Guides will often direct your attention to the smaller things on safari, such as plants or insects, and if your footwear is comfortable, you’ll be able to get up close to these smaller natural wonders of Africa while feeling safe and secure in the elements.

Casual clothing (Keep in mind that the Kruger can get HOT)

Jacket  (It can get chilly in the open air game viewing vehicle)

Water / cold drinks / snacks / water (don’t over pack as we will stop at rest camps where you can stock up, don’t forget a bottle or two of water.)

Sunblock… because we will be out in the HOT SUN the entire trip, yay!

For families
• Simple animal check-list – great for keeping kids motivated and busy
• Access to photography whether it is a disposable camera or borrowing your camera phone
• Binoculars – ideally one for each family member
• Dried fruits or finger snacks if your kids are likely to get hungry

Please don’t forget

South African Citizens, SADC Citizens and Wild Card Holders need an RSA I.D,  international guests require a passport.

Please note that, as per Kruger Park rules, there is no alcohol allowed in the Park, an no smoking while in the game viewing vehicle.

Malaria is endemic in the Lowveld  including the Kruger Park and surrounding private game reserves.

Precautions and Advice
